This month, the Berlin Philharmonic will offer a performance of Má vlast (My Fatherland), by Czech composer Bedřich Smetana (1824-1884), under the baton of Russian-Austrian conductor Kirill Petrenko. Má vlast is a cycle of six symphonic poems, the best-known of them being Vlatava (The Moldau), a tribute to Czech river. The poems display before the audience fascinating sound worlds within the realm of Romanticism.
This activity is organized with the Berlin Philharmonic Digital Concert Hall and the Bilbao Philharmonic Society in the context of the TopARTE program.
