This educational space offers visitors the chance to embark on an imaginary journey, an introductory tour of different key places, ideas and figures from the life of Cy Twombly (Lexington, Virginia, 1928). You will learn about the friendships he forged, the places he visited, the colors and lights that he saw and his favorite authors, all of which have served as the context for his work or as a source of inspiration.
The different ports of call on this journey are described through texts, images and videos that offer insights into and reflect three different stages in the life of Cy Twombly:
