Didaktika

The objective of the Museum’s Educational Department is to help visitors interpret modern and contemporary artwork , and the singular architecture of the building, through programs and material specially developed for this purpose.

ZERO ESPAZIOA

Zero Espazioa is the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao's new orientation room. It is a dynamic, interactive space where visitors will find everything they need to make their experience at the Museum an unforgettable one.

Guided Tours

The Museum offers daily guided tours for the general public.

Hours: Morning: 12:30
Afternoon: 17:00

Sign up in person at the information desk half an hour before the visit is due to start. 8 people minimum in the group up to a maximum of 20. No booking: first come first served.

Ask the information desk about guided tours in different languages.

The Museum program is subject to change.

Free Audio guides

This portable system allows visitors to enjoy a self-guided tour, listening to information on the architecture of the building and exhibitions. Adjustable headphones are available and operate on a magnetic loop system.

 

Magazine

The Guggenheim Bilbao magazine provides information on the Permanent Collection, temporary exhibitions, and scheduled activities, as well as up-to-date information about other Guggenheim institutions, the Corporate Members, and Museum Members programs and general information.

The magazine is available at the Museum information desk in Basque, Spanish, English, French, Catalan, and Galician.

Educational spaces

The educational areas designed in conjunction with virtually every new exhibition are an essential part of the Museum's Art Program. They are designed to complement the exhibits and bring them to life through a variety of educational tools, such as panels, interactive software, audiovisuals, audio clips, illustrations, images, and reading rooms. The focus of each educational space varies.Content may have a social, political, economic, artistic, or architectural perspective, and may contain interactive materials for groups or individual learning experiences.
All of the spaces are fully accessible for the enjoyment of all Museum visitors. The spaces are always integrated within the itinerary of the exhibition and are designed jointly by the Museum's Curatorial, Education and Interpretation staff in conjunction with the curator of each exhibit. The Museum website offers an adapted version of the materials created specifically for these spaces.
