This show is the last in a series of exhibitions that began in 2010 with the aim of offering visitors a comprehensive overview of the works in the Bilbao Collection. The first analyzed the dialogue between American and European artists in the 1950s and 60s; the second presentation explored the artistic debate that was led by an entire generation of European artists in the 1970s and 80s; and the third, on display until 27 October 2013, reflects the legacy of key figures who belonged or were related to the Pop Art movement.

On this occasion, Selections IV focuses on the most recent generations of contemporary artists and reveals the variety of creative languages that have been used in art since the 1990s.
